Water in the spa should be maintained at a pH of 7.2-7.8 and total alkalinity from 80-140 ppm. To ensure proper pH is maintained, test the water frequently using a suitable test kit. This product is compatible with all sanitizers, including bromine, chlorine, and biguanide. If the pH is below 7.2, use this product.
To raise the pH in spa water, follow these steps:
- Turn on the air blower, jets, or filter system.
- In a plastic pail, combine 1 ounce of this product with water and mix well.
- Add the diluted product to the spa.
- After 30 minutes, retest the water.
- Repeat steps 1-4 until the pH and total alkalinity are within the desired ranges of 7.2-7.8 and 80-140 ppm, respectively.
If the pH is below 7.2, add 1 ounce of this product and retest every 30 minutes until the pH and total alkalinity are within the desired ranges of 7.2-7.8 and 80-140 ppm, respectively.
Please note that this product should only be used to raise the pH in spa water.
