SPA AND HOT TUB USE:

To ensure proper spa and hot tub operation, it is important to maintain the water within certain values. Using an appropriate test kit, you should test and adjust the water to the following levels: pH 7.2-7.8, total alkalinity 60-100 ppm, and calcium hardness 200 ppm minimum. This can be achieved by adding approximately 1.4 ppm available chlorine for every level teaspoon (0.17 oz.) of this product per 500 gallons of water. It is recommended to frequently test the water using a test kit to maintain these conditions.

It is important to note that the cyanuric acid level should not exceed 150 ppm. Therefore, it is advised to drain the spa or hot tub every 30-90 days, or more frequently if heavy use is experienced. Additionally, it is crucial to consult the manufacturer's recommendations regarding the compatibility of chlorine sanitizers with their equipment.

Certain oils, lotions, fragrances, and cleaners may cause foaming or cloudy water and may interact with chlorine sanitizers, reducing their effectiveness. Therefore, it is advisable to be cautious when adding such products to the water.

START-UP (FRESHLY FILLED):

To begin, ensure that the circulation system is functioning properly. Then, add 6 teaspoons of this product for every 500 gallons of water. Check the free available chlorine (FAC) level, and if it is below 4-5 ppm, repeat the process as necessary. It is important to note that re-entry into treated spas is prohibited if the chlorine level exceeds 3 ppm.
