SpaChoice 472-3-5081 Granules Hot Tub Chlorine, 1-Pack, provide a steady source of available chlorine to control algae growth, kill bacteria, and destroy organic contaminants in hot tub water. These chlorine granules dissolve quickly and completely, ensuring effective sanitation. They are also stabilized to protect against UV radiation from the sun, prolonging the lifespan of the chlorine.

To apply the chlorine granules, distribute the product evenly in the deepest part of the spa with water circulating.

For proper spa and hot tub operation, maintain the following water values: pH 7.2-7.8, total alkalinity 60-100 ppm, calcium hardness 200 ppm minimum. Test the water frequently using an appropriate test kit and adjust as necessary. Do not exceed a cyanuric acid level of 150 ppm. It is recommended to drain spas and hot tubs every 30-90 days or more frequently under heavy use. Before using any oils, lotions, fragrances, or cleaners, check the manufacturer's recommendations for compatibility with chlorine sanitizers, as some products may cause foaming or cloudy water and reduce the efficacy of chlorine sanitizers.

For start-up (freshly filled) spas, turn on the circulation system and add 6 teaspoons of chlorine granules for each 500 gallons of water. Check the free available chlorine (FAC) level and repeat the process if it falls below 4-5 ppm. Re-entry into treated spas is not allowed above chlorine levels of 3 ppm.

For regular use, turn on the circulation system and scatter approximately 3 teaspoons of chlorine granules per 500 gallons of water over the surface. Use a clean, dry spoon. Test for FAC and add more granules if needed to maintain 4-5 ppm FAC while the spa or hot tub is in use. After each use, shock treat the water with 9 teaspoons of chlorine granules per 500 gallons to control odors and algae. Repeat as necessary. Re-entry into treated spas is prohibited above chlorine levels of 3 ppm.

SpaChoice 472-3-3041-02 Re-Energize Hot Tub Shock, 2-Pack, is an oxidizing spa shock that removes organic contaminants such as ammonia, perspiration, and suntan lotion. It also eliminates chloramines and bromamines, which cause chlorine odor, while enhancing the sanitizing effectiveness of chlorine and bromine. This non-chlorine shock increases water clarity and reduces eye irritation.

To use the non-chlorine shock, add 2 ounces per 300 gallons of water after every use. Run the pump for at least 30 minutes and turn the jets on and off once or twice to improve the treatment. Regular use of this product will eliminate organic contaminants and keep the spa water crystal clear. It will not raise chlorine levels or produce combined chlorine or chloramines, which can cause chlorine odor and eye irritation.
